Dental Trauma and Cracks : An update

$0.00

Synopsis:
This presentation serves as a brief update on two major clinical topics: dental trauma and cracked teeth.

The International Association of Dental Traumatology (IADT) guidelines, updated in 2020, present a shift towards less invasive care. We will review these changes and their specific indications, as primary care providers are often the first responders in dental emergencies.

Additionally, cracked tooth diagnosis remains complex, with subsequent tooth longevity uncertain. With a rising incidence in the population (up to 1 in 4 cases presenting for endodontic treatment), this session delves into the recent literature surrounding the management, prognosis, and long-term survival of these teeth.
